Toronto Maple Leafs' reaction to Morgan Rielly contract is hilarious

Safe to say, the Leafs are happy to have him around long term.

Michael W.

The longest serving Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman isn't going anywhere.

The Leafs locked up Morgan Rielly long term this afternoon, as both sides agreed to an eight-year contract extension worth $60 million; the deal carries an annual cap hit of $7.5 million.

And safe to say, his teammates are happy. The news was announced to the rest of his team during today's practice session; just take a look at their reaction:

He's a veteran of 580 career NHL regular season games, and has racked up 309 points (59 goals, 250 assists) while adding 19 points (four goals, 15 assists) in 32 career Stanley Cup playoff games - all with the Leafs.
