MUST SEE: Igor Shesterkin ditches classic gear look!

The New York Rangers were able to win 52 games during the 2021-22 regular season thanks in large part to the play of goaltender Igor Shesterkin, who firmly established himself as New York's first bonafide No. 1 goaltender since the retirement of the legendary Henrik Lundqvist. Shesterkin also won the Vezina Trophy as the NHL's best at the position, and was also a candidate for the Hart Trophy.

Needless to say, the Rangers are set in goal for the foreseeable future. But for goalie gear nerds like myself, I was surprised to see Shesterkin abandon the design made to look like the iconic ceiling of Madison Square Garden that he's worn the past two seasons.
