UPDATE: According to NHL insider Frank Seravalli, Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid will receive no supplemental discipline for last night's head shot on Marcus Johansson.

In case you missed it last night, Edmonton Oilers superstar Connor McDavid went viral online for a sneaky, dirty head shot elbow on Minnesota Wild forward Marcus Johansson that went unpenalized.

As mentioned in the clip above, the Wild have announced that Johansson is now out of the lineup with an upper body injury.
Don't be surprised if McDavid earns himself a call from NHL Player Safety for this hit.
But... can we just take a moment to appreciate just how smooth this elbow is? I mean, McDavid just has a way of making everything look effortless, even a dirty head shot.
Naturally though, the Wild don't see things that way.
You can understand the frustration from the Wild, now it's up to NHL Player Safety whether they act on this or not.
