Leon Draisaitl trolls Jacob Trouba after game-winning goal.
Draisaitl trying to get under Trouba's skin.
Talk about rubbing salt in the wound.
The New York Rangers probably aren't feeling too good on Sunday morning after letting a 3 goal lead evaporate in the third period against the Edmonton Oilers, but if there's one Ranger who has a reason to be extra salty today it's Rangers captain Jacob Trouba.
Trouba was on the ice for what would prove to be the eventual game winning goal and as if that wasn't bad enough, the man who scored that goal would rub salt in the wound after the fact.
The Oilers completed the comeback on the power play in the third period when there was just over a minute left on the game clock, and it would be Oilers star forward Leon Draisaitl who would seal the deal.
Draisaitl though would add insult to injury, rubbing salt in the wound if you will, when it comes to Trouba in particular. As he was skating towards the Oilers bench to celebrate his goal, Draisaitl could been seen clearly knocking the stick out of Trouba's hands to absolutely no reaction from Trouba or the Rangers.
You can see that in the short clip below:
It is unclear if the Rangers were just so dejected after giving up a 3 goal lead that no one cared to notice, or if it was simply a matter of no one seeing what Draisaitl had just done to their captain.
