Crosby and MacKinnon are first players on the ice this morning for practice
Canada's superstars were also the last two guys to finish up their media availabilities last night.
In case you missed it last night, Canada managed to squeak out a 4-3 OT victory over Sweden in a very entertaining opening game of the 4 Nations Face-Off.
Canadian captain Sidney Crosby managed to post 3 points in the game, earning himself 1st Star status. It was an energetic, high flying game with plenty of scoring chances right from the opening puck drop. In other words: Best on best hockey is back! It's been a literal generation since we've witnessed best on best competition in this sport and fans were loving it last night.
Taking allegiances out of things and just watching this game purely for enjoyment... what a treat. To watch Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon do their thing together was pure magic. The pair were a threat whenever they were on the ice together and, like I said, just a treat to watch.
Following the game there were two men left at media row in the late hours of the evening: Crosby and MacKinnon.
The two leaders were the last two members of Team Canada to wrap up with media last night and then they're the first ones on the ice for practice this morning.

Oh, and in case you didn't know... there's a massive snow storm hitting Montreal right now. Yet, these two leaders still managed to get themselves to the rink and on the ice before anyone else.
Absolute animals.
That's leadership right there, folks!
