Sidney Crosby involved in bar fight with two Quebecois men!
An exclusive report from Dans les coulisses reports a fight between the Penguins’ captain and some drunk men. Full story below:
When you’re Sidney Crosby, it’s pretty much impossible to be go unnoticed. It was the case back on January 2nd when the Pittsburgh Penguins were in Miami ahead of their next day’s matchup against the Florida Panthers.
According to Max Truman of Dans les Coulisses, a blog in Montreal, Crosby and some teammates went out to a bar in Miami and were apparently getting taking too much room for some patrons. Two of them, reportedly two men from Quebec, confronted the Penguins and ended up pushing Crosby down.
From Dans les Coulisses, introducing the podcast about the scene that took place, (translated from French):
“Crosby’s story is as follows: at a certain point in the evening, the two Quebecois men thought that the Pens’ players were taking up a lot of space in the bar and one of them allegedly pushed Sidney Crosby, who ended up on the ground. He most likely knew exactly who Crosby was and what he was doing by pushing him…
“In no time, Penguins’ players intervened to slow down the two Quebecois, then security took them out of the bar immediately. It is said that they had to pay their running bill when though they were no longer in the place…”
The Penguins unfortunately went on to lose 3-2 at the hands of the Panthers. And yes, it is surprising to know that some of the Pens, including Crosby, went on a night before a game.
Anyways, the point is that no one should get involved in fights, especially in a public place and for those two Quebecois should have known better than to go after Sid, especially when he’s around his teammates.
Crosby will be in action later tonight as Team Canada faces Team Sweden in the first game of the 4 Nations tournament.
