BREAKING NEWS: 12-year-old girl dies after being hit by hockey puck.
This story is a very sad one as a 12-year-old girl died after being hit by a hockey puck.
As reported by CBC News “The girl was watching a hockey game on Saturday night when she ‘took a puck to the head,’ the Kativik Regional Government said in an email to CBC, quoting the Kativik Regional Police Force.”
After the incident, the little girl was brought home and received some medical treatment according to the police official statement.
Later on, she has been brought to the hospital as she was not feeling well. She finally died on Sunday morning.
“At the moment, it looks like it is an unfortunate incident." Said the Kativik Regional Police Force who is in charge of the investigation. The Star confirmed that local and provincial police are investigating after the girl, a spectator, died in the remote northern town of Salluit on Sunday.
Autopsy will be made in Montreal as soon as possible. Salluit, Que, is the second most northern community and has a population of only 1,300 peoples.
