When we talk about the greatest Blackhawks of all time, Stan Mikita is no doubt high up on that list. Born Stanislav Guoth on May 20, 1940, Mikita began his professional hockey career with the Blackhawks in 1958. He would go on to spend his entire 22 year NHL career with the Hawk's. In 1394 games, Mikita recorded 541 goals and 1467 points as well as racking up 1270 penalty minutes. Mikita and Bobby Hull combined for the most potent offence in 1960's. Mikita also had a mean streak as he was widely considered one of the most penalized players of that era. Realizing that he could not continue being penalized the way he was, Mikita drastically changed his game and focused on being more of a complete player. He went on to win the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy for sportsmanlike conduct twice. Truly a Chicago sports icon.
