In what is becoming an all-too familiar refrain for a once promising goaltender, the Chicago Blackhawks are once again placing Petr Mrazek on Injured Reserve after he suffered yet another groin injury.
He suffered the injury during his team's victory at Madison Square Garden over the New York Rangers on December 3.
It's the latest setback for the injury-riddled goaltender, who has already missed nine games this season with a groin injury and also experienced several injury setbacks last year with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
So far in his first season in the Windy City, Mrazek has amassed a 2-5-1 record with a 4.05 goals against average and .884 save percentage.
