TNT botches NHL announcement, confuses Andrew Ference for Connor McDavid
The only time in Ference's life that someone mistook him for McDavid.

In case you missed the news earlier this week, the NHL announced a seven year, $1.6 billion deal with Turner Sports (TNT and TBS) that will make them the secondary rights holder in the NHL (along with ESPN and ABC) in the United States.
It's expected that most Turner Sports games will be broadcasted on TNT and will have a similar format to the stations stellar NBA on TNT programming. In fact, basketball fans were informed of the new partnership during last night's NBA on TNT program, but there was just one problem...

Umm... what is Andrew Ference doing there? The guy hasn't played an NHL game since 2015...
I'm guessing that TNT intended to highlight current Oilers captain Connor McDavid? You know... rather than a somewhat forgettable captain in Oilers history. And one that hasn't played an NHL game in six years.
Wait a second... is that Jeff Halpern in behind Ference?!?!?! Nope... nope... that's definitely Ovi, my bad.
