Sidney Crosby gives Bob Cole his own personal tribute.
A great show of class from the captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins as he pays tribute to the legendary Bob Cole.
The hockey world lost a truly unique and wonderful person this week when legendary voice of hockey Bob Cole passed away at the age of 90.
There are no words that I could write that would adequately pay tribute to the tremendous impact Cole has had on my life and on the life of countless other Canadians who grew up listening to his voice and who attach so many iconic moments in their favorite sport to the very same voice, and thankfully for me Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby has stepped in to try and take on that impossible task.
On Saturday night, in a great show of class, Crosby took the time to put together a little production of his own in a personalized tribute to the legendary Canadian broadcaster and a man who clearly had a large impact on Crosby's life as well. It was nothing short of beautiful with Crosby not only highlighting Cole's incredible career as a broadcaster, but also sharing personal anecdotes in the hopes of giving the world a glimpse of just how wonderful a man Cole, his friend, truly was.
It was an emotional tribute as you might expect, so be prepared for a rollercoaster of emotions before you hit play.
