Sean Avery hits the ice for the first time since 2012 in his comeback attempt

Former NHL pest Sean Avery is apparently mounting a comeback... but it's not clear just just how serious he is about things.

The former Detroit Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings, New York Rangers and Dallas Stars forward hasn't skated since his final season in the NHL with the Rangers in 2012, but he hit the ice today just to stretch out the legs a bit.

Again... this is Sean Avery we're talking about so I don't know if he's serious about making a comeback or if he's just trolling us all for a little bit of attention. After all, Avery seemed to love attention, good or bad, during his days in the NHL especially at the height of his career with the Rangers.

Needless to say judging from this clip here, he'll probably have to put in a little more work if he wants to attract the attention of some NHL scouts. That skating stride looks a liiiiiiiittle stiff...
