It sounds like two former National Hockey League coaches may currently be battling for the same job.
While he has been often connected to the vacancy behind the Florida Panthers bench, it sounds like recently fired Montreal Canadiens head coach Michel Therrien may also be gunning for the position of top assistant coach under Mike Yeo of the St. Louis Blues.
That report comes from Blues insider Jeremy Rutherford although according to Rutherford former Philadelphia Flyers' head coach Craig Berube may also be in contention for that position.
As a final aside, there have been rumors suggesting that former Sabres head coach Dan Bylsma was also in the running, but Rutherford shot those down today stating flatly that he was not in the mix.
