Report: The Bruins are NOT firing Jim Montgomery

UPDATE 2: The Boston Bruins have sent out an email indicating that head coach Jim Montgomery will be available to the media on Wednesday, following the team's practice.


This, of course, addresses the rumor that today's practice was cancelled because of an imminent firing.

UPDATE: The Boston Bruins have cancelled tomorrow's scheduled practice after tonight's brutal 5-1 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.


So... what exactly does this mean?

Well, there are rumors flying online that the team has cleared its schedule for an important announcement. Could it be head coach Jim Montgomery's firing? 

I suppose we'll have to wait to see, but it's clear that something's got to change in Boston if this team is hoping to get their season back on track.

Is this the end for Boston Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery?

The Bruins barfed all over themselves on home ice this evening, losing 5-1 to the pitiful Columbus Blue Jackets and are now 8-9-3 on the season.

Now, with the Bruins off until Thursday evening, you have to wonder if some changes are coming. There have been rumors that head coach Jim Montgomery could be replaced and you have to imagine that GM Don Sweeney is under pressure from management too. 

So... what happens? Do we all just wait for the other shoe to drop?
