Pop icon Michael Bublé destroys Johnny Gaudreau at a concert in Calgary
But he wasn’t kind to the Flames either…

Pop icon Michael Bublé stopped in Calgary on his latest world tour and the singer did not hold back on how he feels about forward Johnny Gaudreau.
You know this already: Gaudreau left the Flames this summer after nine seasons with the franchise and signed a monster contract as a free agent with the Columbus Blue Jackets, leaving fans in Calgary quite sour.
Bublé used this to his advantage between songs during his concert and took a shot at Gaudreau:
”I don’t want to play where it’s hard. I don’t want to win the Stanley Cup,” said Bublé, mocking Gaudreau.
We know that Bublé was only echoing a sentiment a lot of Flames fans currently hold - even some of his former teammates and former head coach Darryl Sutter.
He was only going with the vibe in Calgary.
However, Bublé should have known when to stop as he poked fun at the Flames themselves thanks to their pitiful arena. Bublé joked that all proceeds from the concert will be going towards new air conditioning for the Saddledome.
It is well known that the Flames’ arena has struggled in the past years and would greatly benefit from a bunch of repairs. Last month, it was reported that pieces of concrete have fallen loose from the roof’s ring beam while other crumbling pieces have been removed to prevent them from falling.
In January 2022, it was confirmed that the Flames would continue playing in the Scotiabank Saddledome indefinitely as the agreement the team had with the city of Calgary to build a new $634 million arena was terminated. The Flames have a lease with the city to operate the building until 2033.
And clearly, as a Vancouver Canucks’ fan, Bublé couldn’t hold his tongue.
When it comes to Gaudreau, the Blue Jackets will be in Calgary on Dec. 9. And now that we’ve hard what Bublé had to say, we cannot wait to see how the Flames’ fans react to Gaudreau’s return at the Saddledome.
