Penguins fan throws jersey on the ice, Leon Draisaitl throws it right back

Leon doesn't have time for your nonsense. Get your trash outta here.

In case you missed it last night, the Edmonton Oilers and Pittsburgh Penguins put on an absolute show at Rogers Place in downtown Edmonton.

The two high powered offensive teams traded chances back and forth, until the Oilers decided to absolutely take the game over in the second half of the game. First off, Oilers captain Connor McDavid was forced to leave the game for a brief period after it appeared that he injured himself on a hard driving play to the Penguins' net.

Penguins defenseman Jeff Petry rode McDavid into the net hard and the Oilers captain appeared to hit his back on the goal post, knocking the net off its pegs. McDavid needed to be helped off the ice and has not returned to action. Ironically, Petry earned himself a penalty on the play and the Oilers scored on the ensuing powerplay without McDavid to guide them.

Here's the play in question:

The Oilers rallied with their captain down and put on a show. Once McDavid returned to play though, that's when things really took off for the team. Go figure...

In the end, the Oilers took the game handily 6-3 handing the Penguins their first regulation loss of the season. Evidently that loss was enough to have one Penguins fan give up on his team, as he stripped off his jersey and tossed it on the ice in disgust. The irony though is that Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl scooped the jersey up and tossed it back.

Check it out:

That's the way to do it, Leon. Don't give these clowns the satisfaction of "going viral" on social media.

Because, that's all this is. This fan isn't fed up with the Penguins, how could he be? They've only lost one damn game! He's simply hoping to go viral as a result of this stupid stunt. The less attention we pay to these clowns, the better. Kudos to big Leon for shutting this down the moment he saw it and here's hoping that this clown is banned from Rogers Place.
