Pat Maroon to miss several weeks after going under the knife

Veteran forward Pat Maroon was acquired by the Minnesota Wild this offseason along with 22-year-old forward prospect Max Cajkovic from the Tampa Bay Lighting for a seventh-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft.
And while he's provided a valuable presence in the lineup that also includes plenty of Stanley Cup-winning experience, he's suffered a considerable setback. He's gone under the knife for back surgery, and will miss the next several weeks of action as a result.
