Not long after they were unable to re-sign Alex DeBrincat to a long term deal and subsequently traded him to divisional rival Detroit, they've parted ways with one key front office executive.
Trent Mann, who had been serving as assistant general manager under Pierre Dorion, is no longer doing so after a meeting this morning at Canadian Tire Centre.
This is the second major change in the Ottawa front office, following president of business operations Anthony LeBlanc resigning from his post.
Mann, who was in Nashville for the 2023 NHL Draft at the Senators draft table and also at last week's development camp, had previously served as the team's lead amateur scout since being promoted in October of 2016 since joining them as a part-time amateur scout in 2010.
