The Ottawa Senators have significantly bolstered the depth of their roster, this in spite of the fact that their season could very well come to an end today.

On Saturday, the Senators recalled a total of 12 players from multiple teams as they looked to bolster their roster while also giving some of their younger players a taste of the National Hockey League playoff experience.

Perhaps the most notable name added to the roster was that of 19 year old defenseman Carter Yakemchuk who was called up from the Western Hockey League's Calgary Hitmen. The native of Fort McMurray, Alberta has appeared in 56 games for the Hitmen this season and has 17 goals and 32 assists for a total of 49 points to his name.

The Senators recalled 10 other players from the American Hockey League as well with Zack MacEwen, Angus Crookshank, Stephen Halliday, Cole Reinhardt, Jan Jenik, Tyler Boucher, Garrett Pilon, Wyatt Bongiovanni, Donovan Sebrango and Mads Sogaard all being called up to the main roster on Saturday.

The Senators also called up 21 year old defenseman Tomas Hamara from the Brantford Bulldogs of the Ontario Hockey League. Hamara has 8 goals and 47 assists for a total of 55 points in 58 games for the Bulldogs this season.

It is unclear at this time if the Senators intend to deploy any of these players in Game 4 as there has been no official word from the team as of yet, and anything else would be pure speculation at this time.
