It's trade deadline day in the National Hockey League and that likely means we are going to see a good number of trades and a good number of trade rumors that precede those trades.

It's still early in the day but already a number of NHL insiders have shared insights on some of the players we can expect to see moved today, and in this article we will be looking at 4 potential trades you might wanna keep your eyes open for throughout the course of the day.

The first comes to us courtesy of NHL insider Chris Johnston, with Johnston reporting that he believes veteran forward Marcus Johansson of the Seattle Kraken will be moved at some point during the day. What makes Johnston's rumor report particularly notable is that he has hinted at one of the teams that may have interest in acquiring him before the deadline, the Washington Capitals.

The Capitals are of course the team that drafted Johansson in the 1st round (24th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft and are also a team that is intimately familiar with him after he spent 7 seasons with their organization.

Next up is a pretty big trade rumor and this one comes to us courtesy of National Hockey League insider David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period. According to Pagnotta we could see the Anaheim Ducks, who were already very active over the weekend, move veteran goaltender John Gibson ahead of the trade deadline.

Gibson has been a workhorse for the Ducks this season appearing in 45 games and recording a 3.05 goals against average and a .906 save percentage.

Up next we have a rumor from Ottawa Senators insider Bruce Garrioch. According to Garrioch there are teams with interest in Senators defenseman Josh Brown. Brown is on an expiring contract at a cap hit of just $1.2 million, so he would fit as a typical rental player on a number of teams look to add depth to their blue line.

Last but not least we have a situation similar to the one with Brown, with Andy Strickland of Bally Sports Midwest reporting that Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Justin Braun is drawing interest ahead of the deadline.

Braun is slightly more pricey at a cap hit of $1.8 million but is also on an expiring contract. He was connected to the Toronto Maple Leafs prior to their acquisition of Mark Giordano, so it will be interesting to see where he lands if he is indeed moved before the deadline.
