Matthew Gaudreau’s wife Madeline shares heartfelt update on her pregnancy

Beautiful, but so heartbreaking at the same time.

Madeline Gaudreau, the wife of late Matthew Gaudreau, is expecting their first child, a boy named Tripp, any day now. On Monday, she shared a heartfelt update on his first pregnancy, posting a beautiful photo of the couple on her Instagram Stories.

“Our baby boy will be here any day 🦋🦋🦋,” Madeline shared over a wedding photo of her and Matthew.

Following the death of Matthew, who died alongside his brother Columbus Blue Jackets star forward Johnny Gaudreau while riding bikes in Oldmans Township, New Jersey, on August 29, on the eve of their sister’s wedding, where both brothers were to be groomsmen, Madeline has been getting ready for the arrival of her son on her own.

She has however received much support from the community and the Gaudreau extended family. Back in October, Madeline had shared photos of the baby shower, which featured blue and white balloons, as well as cloud- and “heaven”-themed decor.

“Baby Shower of my Dreams 🤍🕊️,” Madeline wrote in the post’s caption. “Thank you @gabriellevasaturo for hosting. @bitesizedsis you’re amazing, my husband would have loved all the balloons. The way you were able to tie in my husband brought instant tears when I walked in.”

“All my friends and family, nothing [will] bring his dad back, [or] Uncle John back, but I am glad he has so many amazing people around him to remind him how amazing they were 💙,” she continued, speaking about her son.

The photos also showed balloons spelling out “Tripp,” a photo wall that read “A little piece of heaven” and “Baby Tripp,” as well as a sign in front of their house reading: “Welcome to our baby shower,” which was signed, “Matty and Madeline.”

Matthew and Johnny’s younger sister Katie Gaudreau had also shared her own photos of the beautiful event, with a special message to her late brothers:

“Felt the love from your Daddy and Uncle John today. We love you Tripp Matthew,” Katie captioned.

Adding: “Today we celebrate Tripp, Matthew and my sister.”

“I cannot wait to celebrate the three of you. I know Matthew is so proud of you.”

Johnny was 31 years old at the time of his death, while Matthew was 29. Johnny’s wife Meredith Gaudreau is also pregnant with the couple’s third child as the couple shared daughter Noa and son Johnny.

Tripp will soon be coming into this world and is already loved so much by his mother and family, and will have a special angel looking at him from Heaven.
