Matt Duchene is bought out on last day and will cost the Preds A LOT of money!

The Nashville Predators have place veteran forward Matt Duchene on unconditional waivers to be bought out before tonight’s 5 p.m. ET deadline.

Duchene had 3 years remaining at $8 million AAV. This is a bold move by Nashville seeing that his buyout calculation, per
Cap Friendly, takes a significant chuck of the Predators’ budget. For two of those seasons, there is a $5.5 and $6.5 million cap charge.
