The call was made before the buzzer went off on Deadline Day and the Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired forward Connor Dewar from the Minnesota Wild.
The return to Minnesota is a 2026 fourth-round pick back from the Leafs.
Dewar is a pending restricted free agent with arbitration rights at 24 years old. This season, his deal carries a $800,000 AAV.
In 57 contests this season, Dewar has put up 10 goals and four assists in Minnesota.
He was originally selected in the third round, 92nd overall, by the Wild in the 2018 NHL Draft. He has 18 goals and 38 points in 173 career games.
