Maple Leafs humilate Ryan Reaves during last night’s game!

What is done on purpose? Give us your take on the move the Leafs pulled on Reaves:

It hasn’t been easy for veteran forward Ryan Reaves so far this season with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Already getting scratched a few games since the calendar got underway, Reaves has failed to show up as the enforcer he can usually be and has been called out a few times by former NHLers wondering why Reaves is backing out of opportunities to fight and inject some momentum in his team’s play.

On Thursday night, Reaves was in the Leafs’ lineup as they hosted the St. Louis Blues. It is head coach Craig Berube’s former club and the game meant a whole lot more to the bench boss.

However, in the first 20 minutes of the game, the Maple Leafs looked out of it, and after a blowout 6-2 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday, Toronto still looked defeated. The team wasn’t happy and some fans noticed how they took out their anger on Reaves.

On Tuesday when the Leafs were trailing behind 3-0 after the first frame, the team used a picture of Reaves from the night’s warmups and added the score to it.

On Thursday night again, as the Blues were in the lead 2-0 after the first period, the Maple Leafs posted a picture of Reaves from warmups with the losing score pasted on it. Clearly, fans saw that as an insult to Reaves.

In Tuesday’s game against Columbus, Revaes took on two minor penalties for roughing, ended the night with a -1 rating and played just eight minutes and six seconds. Last night, he played a little bit more, getting nine minutes and 46 seconds of ice time, but only registered a shot on goal in the 5-1 loss.

At least he got his picture out there on social media after one period… Talk nice, talk bad about him, but just talk, I guess.
