Carolina Hurricanes D Tony DeAngelo allegedly trying to sell old Rangers gear

Well, you don't often see this.

Michael W.

It may have been a controversial signing, but the Carolina Hurricanes are certainly happy to have the services of defenseman Tony DeAngelo, a former member of the New York Rangers.

After he was bought out by the Rangers, he signed a one-year, $1 million deal with the Hurricanes this offseason, and enjoyed a productive season with 51 points in 64 games played. He already made his presence known in Carolina's 1st round series victory over the Boston Bruins, routinely engaging in verbal jousting with pest Brad Marchand.

He's also hearing it from the crowd at Madison Square Garden, who boo him every time he touches the puck; he also drew the wrath of head coach Gerard Gallant, who yelled at him to "shut the f**k up" from the bench following New York's Game 3 win.

Right now, it looks as though he's trying to purge any memory of his time with the Rangers by selling his old team merchandise, which includes several pieces of team issued apparel as well as equipment:

He had been bought out by the Rangers after several instances of behavioral concerns, including a dust-up with backup goaltender Alex Georgiev.
