Yep, Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark his having himself a career year admits the rest of his team running away with the best record in the National Hockey League.
As of right now, Ullmark boasts a sparkling record of 31-4-1 with a 1.88 goals against average, .938 save percentage along with two shutouts. Oh, and there was also the matter of his having become the first goalie in the near century-long history of the Bruins to score a goal. How about something else? Ullmark also recently set the new franchise-record for saves in a single game, turning aside 54 Calgary Flames shots last week.
And ahead of their matchup against superstar Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers tomorrow night, Ullmark has debuted his brand new mask artwork, courtesy of Dave Gunnarsson of DaveArt. And as always, Gunnarsson includes a detailed description of the design:
#NewDaveArtMaskAlert 🚨More new paint from the paint barn HQ…🛩️⭐️👊🏻 It was such a fun paint ride to paint and create Linus Ullmark’s new Bruins bucket⭐️🐻. Linus had an awesome idea🧠👌🏻, how about put his two corgi dogs Greven🐶 and Baronen🐶 on the mask, in total cartoony style, riding a bear🐻 in the forest🌲, as the true Bear Whisperers they are….💪🏻 And the dogs names translated into English is The Count⭐️ and The Baron⭐️, so of course the dogs must be dressed up very nice and with nice hats🎩, and one of them also using a monocle…🧐 Another funny details are the bears👀, painted in cartoony style, in exactly the same pose as the bear in the Boston Bruins logo…👊🏻 Thanks Linus for the paint ride! 🤓❤️🙏🏻 @lullmark @nhlbruins @nhl@DaveArtFamily #DaveArtTheCradleOfCreativity mask: @bauergoalie
Tomorrow's game against the Oilers will get underway from TD Garden in downtown Boston starting at 7:00 PM EST. Can Ullmark and the Oilers keep McDavid and company in tow?
