John Tortorella sparks outrage over treatment of Matvei Michkov.

Philadelphia Flyers head coach John Tortorella has never been one to shy away from controversy, but the level of backlash he is facing on Sunday for yet another controversial decision may be unlike anything he has seen since taking over behind the bench of the Flyers.

On Sunday, Tortorella made the controversial decision to bench superstar forward Matvei Michkov after Michkov had been slow to get back on a play that led to a goal from the New Jersey Devils. Regardless of whether or not you felt the play should warrant a response from the coach, Tortorella clearly felt that a response was necessary and he immediately glued Michkov to the end of the bench where he remained for the majority of the first period.

The decision from Tortorella has led to outrage from Flyers fans who feel they already don't have many reasons to watch this season, with Michkov being one of the few bright spots. Some would even go so far as to call for Tortorella to be fired, here are just a few examples:
