The Minnesota Wild have signed free agent forward Sam Steel to a one year contract worth $825,000.
Check it out:
The 24 year old forward put up six goals and 20 points in 68 games with the Anaheim Ducks last sedason and has a total of 24 goals and 65 points in 197 career NHL games, all with the Ducks.
Once seen as a top prospect, Steel's stock has dropped the past few seasons as he's been surpassed by the likes of Trevor Zegras and Troy Terry in the Ducks' system. He'll be a solid depth addition to the Wild's lineup and could kickstart his career with a bounce back season in Minny.
