Concerning health update from Leafs practice
Not what you want to hear with the playoffs right around the corner!
The Toronto Maple Leafs continue preparations to open their Round 1 Stanley Cup Playoff series against their Original 6 and Atlantic Division rival Boston Bruins.
However, a concerning update from Leafs practice today has been made public. According to multiple reports, forward William Nylander was not a participant during the recent session.
The Swedish forward, whom Leafs GM Brad Treliving was able to convince to stick around long term with a massive new eight-year contract extension that kicks in next season, scored an impressive 40 goals with 58 assists for the Leafs while playing in all 82 regular season contests.
Game 1 between the Leafs and Bruins is scheduled for tomorrow evening starting at 8:00 PM EST from TD Garden.
