Bruins receive devastating update on Hampus Lindholm.

The Boston Bruins have received a truly devastating update on defenseman Hampus Lindholm.

Oh boy this is bad news for a Boston Bruins team that is currently in a desperate fight for their playoff lives this season.

According to a recent report from Bruins reporter Ty Anderson, it now appears as though 31 year old veteran defenseman Hampus Lindholm is done for the season following an extended absence from the lineup already this season. Lindholm has been out of the lineup since early in the month of November after suffering a fractured patella but it did appear as though he was on his way to making a full recovery ahead of the recent break for the Four Nations Face-Off and had even resumed skating the month prior.

Unfortunately it would now appear as though Lindholm has suffered some kind of setback in that recovery, a significant one given that he is being ruled out for the remainder of the season. Given that the Bruins are currently out of a playoff spot, it seems unlikely that we will see Lindholm back out on the ice before the start of the 2025-26 National Hockey League preseason and training camps.

If this is indeed the end of the road for Lindholm this season, he will have appeared in just 17 total games for the Bruins this season, recording 3 goals and adding 4 assists for a total of 7 points, 4 penalty minutes, and a plus minus rating of -4.
