Bruins place recently acquired defenseman on waivers
Looks like his time with the team is finished.

The Bruins have made a transaction this afternoon, placing defenseman Ian Mitchell on the waiver wire.
Mitchell spent last season playing with the Chicago Blackhawks, scoring one goal with seven assists in 35 games played. This summer, he was part of the package acquired by the Bruins along with Alec Regula in exchange for Taylor Hall and Nick Foligno.
So far this season, he's played in two games for the Bruins while registering one assist. In 84 career NHL games, he's scored four goals with 13 assists.
