Bruins make another trade!

Boston Bruins' Jakub Zboril is heading to the Columbus Blue Jackets in a trade for defenseman Andrew Peeke, along with a 2027 third-round pick. 

Columbus is not retaining any salary on Peeke in the deal with the Bruins. 

Peeke is 25 years old and has put up a goal and seven assists in 23 games this season. He has spent his entire NHL career to date with the Blue Jackets since getting selected 34th overall in 2016. He has missed significant time this season due to injuries, while also being a healthy scratch on occasions. Peeke has 42 points in 218 career games, highlighted by his 15-point effort during the 2021-22 season.

Zboril was selected with the 13th overall pick of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, and he has since appeared in 76 NHL games over four seasons. He has one goal and 16 points in 76 games over four NHL seasons, including a career-best nine points in 42 games in 2020-21. 

A change of scenery could be what helps both players.
