The Boston Bruins cannot afford to lose goalie Linus Ullmark… On Friday afternoon, in the first contest of a busy day after Thanksgiving, against the Carolina Hurricanes, Ullmark was forced to leave the game in the third period after a messy commotion in front of his crease that ended with his own teammate Connor Clifton falling on his neck.

This is what took place and what pundits and insiders present at the game reported on the collision and Ullmark’s condition.

Many pointed out how the goalie needed the help of his teammates to get back on his feet and exit down the tunnel.

Jeremy Swayman took over in between the pipes for Boston. The Bruins were behind by a goal at the time of the incident. They however managed to tie the game moments after Ullmark's injury, thanks to the second goal of the game by David Krejci.

The Bruins did not take long to announce that Ullmark would not return in the game.

Ullmark has been outstanding this season, going 13-1-0 with a 1.96 GAA and a .935 save percentage ahead of the matchup against Carolina and this worrisome injury. He also led the league in all three categories and is currently the odds-on favorite to take home the Vezina Trophy.

This would be a tough loss for Boston. We should find out more in the coming days.
