Bruins fans are furious with Cam Neely and Don Sweeney following independent report on Mitchell Miller signing

Both these guys are a joke. No accountability at all.

The Boston Bruins have released their "independent review" of the controversial Mitchell Miller signing and... wouldn't you know it... but it turns out the team did nothing wrong.

The Bruins announced no changes to their executive staff, but have committed to "strengthening" their "player vetting process" moving forward.

Needless to say this isn't going over well with the team's fanbase...

In particular the Bruins have committed to doing the following:

Establish clear written policies for vetting off-ice conduct, including identifying red flags requiring detailed vetting and documented resolution.

Establish clear timetables and responsibilities within the organization to investigate prospects' community or other off-ice commitments.

Establish centralized documentation of vetting to include reporting on red flags and off-ice issues and ensure such documentation is available to all stakeholders involved in the process.

Establish tracking system to ensure responsibilities for all vetting tasks are clearly assigned and tracked.

Utilize independent third-party resources to investigate and resolve factual issues wen reviewing red flags.

Determine whether there are specific training or rehabilitation programs the prospect should participate in depending on the nature of the red flags.

To which I say: Nonsense.

Pure nonsense.

There's no need for any kind of protocol. Simply don't sign dickheads... should be a pretty easy policy to follow.

Call me crazy, but I think it's pretty plain for everyone to see that Miller is a dickhead. There's a reason why no one teams have signed him.

Oh, and by the way, Miller is still under contract with the Bruins. So, despite the team saying that they'll do a better job moving forward, they're still paying Miller hundreds of thousands of dollars. According to NHL insider Frank Seravalli, the Bruins have paid Miller over $100,000 since his signing in November.

Ah yes... classic "Do as we say, not as we do" behavior.

How can the Bruins release a lengthy statement talking about how they're changing their culture and doing a better job as an organization and then signing Miller's pay check every two weeks? C'mon...
