While the Boston Bruins have lost several figures over this offseason, they've welcomed in more than a few new faces in the form of James van Riemsdyk, Kevin Shattenkirk, Milan Lucic, Morgan Geekie, and Patrick Brown through free agency.

And now, they've turned their attention to some youngsters who have yet to get their feet wet at the NHL level, starting with former Harvard center John Farinacci, regarded as one of the top NCAA free agents. He has agreed to a two-year entry level contract with an AAV of $910,000.

Farinacci, who was originally selected 76th overall (Round 3) in the 2019 NHL Draft by the Arizona Coyotes, was never able to agree on a contract. He's played the last three years with the Crimson Tide, racking up 25 goals and 61 points in 79 games played.

And according to him, it was an easy decision to pick the Bruins to sign his first professional deal with.

“I loved everything the Bruins had to offer, and I’m super excited,” Farinacci told reporters. “Nothing could compare to the opportunity to join the Bruins.”

“I see myself as a 200-foot centerman,” Farinacci said. “I think I can play on both ends of the ice, good on faceoffs. I think I can play any role that I need to. I kind of pride myself on being somebody that can do that. I think my hockey sense, intangible-wise, is probably my biggest strength."
