Max Domi may have just made himself the most popular man in the city of Toronto.
If you're a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, how can you not love this guy?
On Sunday, it was officially announced that veteran National Hockey League forward Max Domi had signed a new multi-year contract with the Maple Leafs, presumably keeping Domi in Toronto for the foreseeable future. Domi is a player that many fans had wanted to see remain in Toronto, both because of his strong play on the ice last season as well as due to his family's long legacy in Toronto, thanks to father Tie Domi.
It seems that the city of Toronto and that legacy mean a great deal to Max as well, at least that's what I've been led to believe judging by his response to the contract signing on Sunday. Domi has taken to social media and published perhaps the single greatest message I have ever seen a player post in response to signing a long-term deal with a team.
Domi's message comes in video form, it edits his face onto a world-famous actor in a world-famous scene from a blockbuster hit movie, all of which he does to show his love and appreciation for the city that he will now represent for the next several years.
