Blink-182 has a message for the Colorado Avalanche!

Colorado's Stanley Cup parade is on Thursday.

Michael W.

It's a song that, as the kids these days like to say, "forever slaps".

The classic 1999 tune "All The Small Things" from Blink-182 became an unofficial anthem of sorts for home games at Ball Arena for the Colorado Avalanche, with nearly every fan in attendance singing along in unison:

The tradition in the 3rd period of home Avs games began not too long ago. In the words of Colorado's play by play man, it's "organic" and "emotional".

"It's organic, it's a tradition, it's a little bit emotional," Conor McGahey, Altitude's radio play-by-play broadcaster explained. "You can't listen to it or watch it and not get emotional. It transports people to make them feel like they're here. I've gotten tweets from people saying whether it's the call itself or saying, 'Hey, thanks for laying off for "All The Small Things," I felt like I was sitting in the building.' Mission accomplished. That's the goal regardless, to make people feel like they're here."

Ball Arena DJ Craig Turney

"They just loved it," Turney recalled. "It was organic. It wasn't staged. Everyone was into it and it was like, 'Wow, OK I think we're really on to something here.'"

Shortly after Colorado's Stanley Cup victory on Sunday, the band themselves had a message for the Avs:

This immediately led to speculation from fans on social media that the band could make an appearance at the Stanley Cup parade on Thursday, though nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
