The incident was not only strange, but scary as well. At the end of the second period of Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Colorado Avalanche, an injury took place that got everyone stunned.

Cirelli was checked behind the Avalanche’s net and fell on the ice. However, he appeared to get cut by the skate of teammate Alex Killorn.

His reaction was immediate pain, which was a scary moment as commentators and teammates had no clue what happened. As soon as Cirelli hit the ice, he reacted in pain and tried his best to reach the Lightning’s bench to make it down the tunnel.

We await an update on his condition though he was seen in the Tampa Bay’s dressing room as broadcast showed him getting help from teammate Pat Maroon to get his jersey back on for the third period.

He was on the ice for the start of the third period, but did not take the face-off.
