From WKYT in Lexington:
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - We’ve learned the cause of an explosion at the Lexington Ice Center over the weekend.
One of the owners of the ice center, David Christopher, tells us employees were replacing a propane tank on the Zamboni machine Saturday when a leak caused an explosion.
Christopher said the explosion didn’t cause damage and nobody was injured, and said everyone was very lucky.
The fire department and the gas company were called out to the scene take a look at what happened.
The ice center would have been allowed to reopen on Sunday, but they remained closed due to the winter weather. As of Monday, the ice center is back open and operating normally.

Sounds like a human error on the part of the rink employee. Luckily no one was injured though and the rink seems to have suffered no lasting damage.
