It seems as though there is going to be a major exodus out of Calgary in the near future. Earlier today, we've already reported that the likes of Noah Hanifin, Elias Lindholm and Mikael Backlund have all told the Flames that they do not plan on signing extensions with the team.
And now, you can go ahead and add yet another key player who is looking to pack up and leave. According to Frank Seravalli, Tyler Toffoli is the latest Flames player to inform the club that he has no plans to sign an extension with them:
Toffoli, who was acquired by the Flames at the 2022 NHL Trade Deadline from the Montreal Canadiens, led the team in scoring last season with 34 goals while largely playing on the first line. He has one year remaining on his current contract that carries an AAV of $4.25 million.
In 733 career games, Toffoli has scored 227 goals with 239 assists for a total of 466 points.
