Wild make a move following today's news about Kirill Kaprizov
Billy Guerin had to do something.
UPDATE: The Wild have recalled forward Brendan Gaunce and defenseman Carson Lambos from the Iowa Wild following today's announcement that Kirill Kaprizov is headed to the IR.
Read below for our earlier report on Kaprizov, published this morning.
This just in, Minnesota Wild insider Michael Russo is reporting that superstar forward Kirill Kaprizov will be placed on the team's injury reserve and will not travel for their upcoming two game road trip.
From Russo:
The Russian forward just completed 2024 as the NHL's top scoring forward, tying Florida Panthers forward Sam Reinhart with 46 goals on the calendar year.
Obviously, losing Kaprizov would be a huge blow to the Wild. He's been a Hart Trophy candidate as the NHL's MVP this season with 23 goals and 50 points in 34 games.
