Wild call up signals one of their goaltenders has been injured.

The Minnesota Wild appear to have suffered an injury in goal based on a recent move.

The Minnesota Wild may have suffered an injury between the pipes... at least that is what their recent moves appear to signal.

On Saturday evening, the Wild officially announced that forward Jakub Lauko would be headed to injured reserve and also announced that, surprisingly, goaltender Jesper Wallstedt was being called up to the main roster on an emergency basis. The injury to Lauko is obviously less than ideal and will keep him out of the lineup for a minimum of 7 days, but the focus appears to be on the second half of the announcement.

The call up of Wallstedt would appear to signal that the Wild have need of another goaltender which in turn has led to speculation that one of the Wild's two goaltenders has suffered an injury. Veteran netminder Marc-Andre Fleury was in net for the Wild on Saturday as they faced off against the Philadelphia Flyers, with Fleury making one of his best saves in recent years on a great chance for Flyers forward Travis Konecny.

Wild insider Michael Russo is reporting that "something is up" with either Fleury or fellow Wild goaltender Filip Gustavsson, but it is unclear at this time which goalie appears to be dealing with an injury issue.

Fleury played for the entire game, stopping 21 of the 22 shots he faced on his way to a .955 save percentage in what was a strong performance. It would be a real shame to see the veteran Fleury have the momentum he gained from such a strong performance on Saturday halted by an injury.
