Wayne Gretzky puts pressure on Connor McDavid!
The Great One tells it like it is:

Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid and NHL legend Wayne Gretzky have put together hilarious commercials for BetMGM, where the two superstars play into a hilarious rivalry.
“Come on!” Gretzky shouts in frustration, throwing McDavid off. “Trying to practice here, Wayne,” McDavid tells him. “You need it,” Gretzky replies.
We love those commercial in which Gretzky pushes McDavid, however, they are scripted. On Thursday, what the Great One had to say about McDavid to TV host Julie Stewart-Binks came from a gut feeling, putting pressure on the Oilers’ captain.
“I think he’s the only one who can catch 97 [Connor McDavid].”
That’s a bold statement, but there is no doubt that Hughes is a talented forward that keeps blowing away NHL fans. In 49 games this season, he has recorded 33 goals and 64 points in total.
McDavid has put up 41 goals and 92 points in 50 contests this season, which is incredible. Hughes is five years younger than McDavid though.
We get why the legendary player believes he can catch the Oilers’ captain. We might get to see what happens later tonight as both McDavid and Hughes take part in the Honda NHL Accuracy Shooting at the All-Star Skills.
Do you agree with Gretzky?
