Scrappy Toronto Maple Leafs forward Tyler Bertuzzi has been known throughout his National Hockey League playing career not only for his gritty play on the ice, but for his flowing locks beneath his helmet.

However, he's once again decided to switch things up a bit. Following in the footsteps of his previous haircut ahead of the 2022-23 season when he was still a member of the Detroit Red Wings, Bertuzzi has once again decided to shed some hair, and for a truly noble cause - he's donated his cut hair to an organization that helps children dealing with cancer.

"A lady in Michigan does it for me so it was kind of the perfect time and donated again to kids with cancer," Bertuzzi explained.

Bertuzzi, who is in his first year with the Leafs after agreeing to a one-year contract in the offseason after having split last year with the Detroit Red Wings and Boston Bruins, has scored six goals with 14 assists in 45 games played while averaging 15:18 ice time.

Unfortunately, he's found himself in head coach Sheldon Keefe's doghouse at more than one point this year. He's made a major bet on himself, and whether or not he's able to secure a longer-term deal in the offseason like he was seeking remains to be seen.
