Well, talk about adding insult to injury.
The Detroit Red Wings have already made the call to part ways with the likes of defenseman Filip Hronek as well as scrappy forward Tyler Bertuzzi ahead of tomorrow’s NHL Trade Deadline, effectively signaling that they don’t realistically see themselves continuing what was at this point last week an intriguing playoff push.
And unfortunately, it appears as though they’ll be without the services of a key member of their team for the rest of the year. Forward Michael Rasmussen, who was injured on Saturday after blocking a shot against the Tampa Bay Lightning, isn’t expected to suit up again in 2022-23.
