The Vegas Golden Knights are Stanley Cup champions!

For the first time in franchise history, a history that dates way back to a year known as 2017, the Vegas Golden Knights are Stanley Cup champions!
The Golden Knights absolutely RAN OVER the Florida Panthers in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final in Vegas to capture a tidy 4-1 series victory. The final score read 9-3.
Captain Mark Stone broke the ice to make the game 1-0 with a shorthanded beauty:
Shortly after that, the Golden Knights made it 2-0 with a somewhat controversial goal. The puck appeared to cross the line after officials blew the whistle, but the goal counted and did not even go to review.
Florida tried to make a game of it, but two more quick goals by Vegas essentially put this one out of reach:
From there the route was on and Vegas entered the 3rd period with a 6-1 commanding lead.
And if that weren't enough, Vegas goalie Adin Hill wasn't about to let the Panthers back into things with saves like these:

And just like that the Golden Knights are Stanley Cup champions!
