The hit took place during Leafs development camp.

You don't often see bone-crushing hits like this at NHL development camp, but unfortunately it was the case earlier today.
Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Roni Hirvonen was absolutely leveled by Nolan Dillingham, falling back and hitting his head on the ice. He lay motionless afterward, reminiscent of Nathan Horton in the 2011 Stanley Cup Final following the series-changing hit from Aaron Rome.
While the good news is that Hirvonen was eventually able to leave the ice under his own power, the bad news is that he indeed suffered a concussion.
The Finnish prospect was selected with the 59th overall pick by the Maple Leafs in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
