Tempers flare in Canadiens vs Maple Leafs prospect game, Sunday.

The Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs really don't like one another.

The Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs have no love for one another and it would appear as though that extends to their rookie players.

On Sunday, during the National Hockey League's prospect tournament, we were treated to a great afternoon game between the Habs prospects and the Maple Leafs prospect. It was a great game that would eventually end by a score of 5-4 in favor of the Maple Leafs prospects, and arguably the game winning goal came as a result of players losing their cool.

Canadiens prospect Luke Tuch would deliver a questionable hit up high on Maple Leafs prospect Noah Chadwick, resulting in a scrum between all the players  on the ice. The officials would take a very long time to review the sequence of events but eventually awarded the Maple Leafs a power play as a resullt of the incident.

After a long review the Maple Leafs would head out onto the ice with the man advantage and it wasn't long before Leafs prospect Easton Cowan scored what would turn out to be the game winning goal.

A little taste of this heated rivalry early on in the preseason is hopefully a sign of the clashes we can expect to see in the regular season between these two teams.
