Barry Trotz has reportedly taken over as the general manager of the Nashville Predators, and if this is his first move as GM then what a move it is.
According to a report from National Hockey League insider Elliotte Friedman, the Predators have just collected a huge haul by trading young forward Tanner Jeannot to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Going to Tampa will of course be Jeannot, but coming back the other way to the Predators is a massive haul of draft picks as well as Lightning defenseman Cal Foote. Here's how the picks break down:
1st round pick in 2025
2nd round pick in 2024
3rd round pick in 2023
4th round pick in 2023
5th round pick in 2023
This seems like a monumental return for a 25 year old with 5 goals and 9 assists for a total of 14 points over 56 games this season.
