Ramel was assessed a 10 minute misconduct and ejected from the game for an equipment violation. That violation? Continuing to chew on his mouthguard despite warnings from the officials. Hands up if you knew this was a penalty? I had no clue...
What I can't sort out though is why players like Patrick Kane and Matthew Tkachuk haven't been chucked out of the league entirely? Maybe it's an IIHF rule and not an NHL rule? Gonna have to dig into this one further...
